Datapoint Cape Verdean Creole of Santiago/Domains of use: school
Although Creole has recently been declared "language of administration and education", officially there is still no use of it as a medium of instruction (and not even as a subject of instruction) in school. This will not prevent teachers from using Creole where necessary to garantee understanding. At present, the "Universidade de Cabo Verde" is planning a master's-degree for the education of future teachers of the "língua caboverdiana".
