Datapoint Lingala/Domains of use: school
Some schools use Lingala as the medium of instruction in the first grades of primary education and shift to French in the third, fourth or fifth year. Other schools start with French as the medium of instruction right away, from first grade. In urban centers even some kindergartens are French-medium.
