Datapoint Korlai/Position of standard negation

The negative in the present has lexicalized the auxiliary; e.g. Teru katan ‘Teru is singing’ vs. Teru nu tɛ katan ‘Teru is not singing’, whereby nu tɛ is obligatory. It cannot be nu. In the preterit, you have negation without the auxiliary: Teru kato vs. Teru nu kato.
