Datapoint Negerhollands/Domains of use: public contexts
I am very certain Negerhollands was not used in a formal setting such as in a post office or a bank, for it was still only spoken in rural areas in the 20th century, and only by the lower class (Van Rossem & Van der Voort 1996: 32, 33, 42).
There was only one public context were it certainly was used (at least in the 19th century): the church (Van Rossem & Van der Voort 1996: 32).
