Datapoint Louisiana Creole (old texts)/Savvy

This comes from the earliest available attestation of something resembling Louisiana Creole. However, the text was published as a memoir some 27 years after the events described, and the authenticity of the examples of "Creole" may be questioned. Nothing resembling sabai or save appears in later attestations of Louisiana Creole or exists in the language today.
