Datapoint Bahamian Creole/Domains of use: court
From what I have been told, Bahamian Creole is actually used in the courtroom, mostly by defendants who are (more or less) monolingual speakers of the creole (or by judges who want to drive a point home to such a defendant, for example). In other words, competence in Standard English and intelligibility determine the use of English vs. creole in the courtroom.
