Datapoint Nicaraguan Creole English/Verb doubling in temporal clauses

Present-day Nicaraguan Creole English does not appear to admit verb doubling. But Holm (1978: 235) cites the following example:
di kom yu kom [PST come 2SG come] 'as soon as you come'. None of the informants presented with Holm's example recognized it as a construction that was any longer in use.
