Comment:
Although the first clause does seem to be a relative clause, it does not follow the usual pattern, where we should find mama ti mo so 'your mother who'. It is for this reason that I identify so as the adverb 'thus', but I'm not happy about doing so. Esi is borrowed from French est-ce que.
