It is unclear why the infinitive is used here. pee 'foot, leg' < Ptg. 'foot'; maam 'arm, hand' < Ptg. mão 'hand'; braasu '6 ft.(=length between fingertips of laterally outstretched arms)' < Ptg. braço 'arm'; maam-braasu 'arm above the hand'.
