Datapoint Michif/Position of definite article in the noun phrase

The definite article is preposed. It is from French, and has three forms: li 'masculine', la 'feminine', lii 'plural' (both genders).
Cree is traditionally analyzed as having demonstratives. However, on the basis of their frequency it can probably be argued that they are also becoming definite articles. If used, they combine with the French definite articles.
