Datapoint Pidgin Hawaiian/Co-occurrence of demonstrative and definite article

The demonstrative form is frequently used as definite article. There is one questionable example with kela ka 'that the' in a single noun phrase, but the same example has determiners accompanying verbs, so this is taken to be an inaccurate exaggeration. However, it should be noted that in Pidgin Hawaiian, the determiner kela often occurred with proper nouns, so this is a case of redundant definiteness in the pidgin.
