Generally speakers do not differentiate singular from plural, leaving the pragmatics to do this. If plurals have to be expressed, a peripharastic expression with zonke 'all' is formed. Thus zonke lo banana 'all the bananas', which happens to make it plural while emphasizing totality. Some guidebooks give ma- as a regular plural prefix for all nouns. To my knowledge this is not used colloquially.
