Datapoint Kikongo-Kituba/Ditransitive constructions with ‘give’

In all ditransive constructions, the dative object precedes the direct object (although both follow the verb). The verb is typically in the applicative form, except for the verb 'give'. If the latter is in the applicative, it means 'give on the behalf of the dative object'. The beneficiary is then unspecified.
