Datapoint Palenquero/r - voiced dental/alveolar trill

Note that in Spanish, is consistently [r], and so is word-initial [r]. Palenqueros (all of whom speak Spanish) are thus very familiar with the trill [r]. Yet they often articulate a vibrant with a single trill instead (i.e. [ɾ]). Cf. perro 'dog' > [peɾo / pelo].
