Datapoint Palenquero/Pequenino
The explanation for the absence of pequenino may lay in the uniform nature of Palenquero's Kikongo substrate: in Palenque, moná (derived from Kikongo mwana 'child, offspring' is the word for 'small; child; offspring', and it is a much used word, so much so that even monolingual speakers of Spanish in the community know it.
