Datapoint Afrikaans/Distance contrasts in demonstratives
Afrikaans seems to be on its way to becoming a language with a three-way opposition: hierdie - daardie - [new:] doerdie. The third option derives from Khoekhoe Afrikaans and is now starting to be colloquial Afrikaans.
