Datapoint Bislama/Urban/rural variation: lexicon
The use of English words, whether nativized into Bislama or not, is more widespread among speakers with more English language education. They are used correspondingly less among speakers educated in French. Ni-Vanuatu as well as linguists increasingly sense the use of town and village varieties of Bislama (thus village speakers may be unfamiliar with slang or neologisms used in town).
