Datapoint Bislama/Urban/rural variation: morphosyntax
No systematic study of urban/rural morphology/syntax has been published to date (like regional dialect influences).
In the 21st century, I have started to hear speakers in the towns using English-like plural marking -s on nouns. This is still very much a minority phenomenon and occurs doubled with use of the Bislama plural determiner ol.
