Datapoint Gullah/Geographic variation: lexicon

It would be surprising if there was no areal variation in the lexicon. Native speakers have reported that they can tell from the ‘accent’ which island a given speaker is from, but systematic, professional investigations on the question of areal variation in the lexicon are lacking.
