National Nicaraguan (Spanish-language) TV channels are less easily received than international (mostly English-language) satellite channels. Pasanen (2004: 85) states that there are local radio channels which broadcast in Spanish and English.
The "English" broadcasting most likely includes some Creole programming but I am under the impression that Creole is more likely to be used in call-in radio shows than for newscasts. For instance, people on San Andrés listen to Nicaraguan call-in programmes conducted in Creole and creolized English.
