Datapoint Nicaraguan Creole English/Increasing use
Diverse language standardization efforts have been made over the past years. It remains to be seen how effective the implementation of the creole in new domains such as the educational system will be in the long run.
Creole English is also acquiring speakers (L1 or L2) from other ethnic groups. Nevertheless, it is a long-term process rather than a matter of rapid shift.
