Example 76-26

ĕlĭp'tĭk
ĕlĭp'tĭk
you.two
you too (sic)
Comment:
This is a dual form of the pronoun ĭllĭpsī 'you'. It was registered by Stefánsson (1909: 221) only on one occasion. It was not interpreted by his consultant as a dual, but it was considered to have a special meaning: 'you too'. It probably represents interference from Eskimo proper, which has a dual.
