Example 71-35

work
On Sunday, at what hour was the work finished?
Comment:
Ahia usually means 'how many' in Hawaiian and the pidgin, but the question is not how long the work will take because the answer to the question was Hola 9 '9 o'clock'. Hola ahia thus specifies a specific time and not a duration. See Examples 34 and 38 as well.
