/ki manyer/ and /kuma/ (< Fr. comment) occur with roughly equal frequency and in many cases are interchangeable. But /ki manyer/ is preferred when enquiring about health or how somone is dealing with a problem. /ki manyer/ is also used by itself on meeting someone as a kind of greeting + semi-question to which only a very short answer such as "korek" ('OK') is expected.
