This sentence is taken from a narrative told by Jerome Rosario. Note that sab, as a stative verb does not appear with the particle tə. This is the norm for sab. However, in the past, sab appears with ti, as in yo ti sab 'I knew'. See Clements (2007: 154) for more information on this.
