Datapoint Tayo/Order of demonstrative and noun

The construction with -la does not only function as a demonstrative, but its functions lie in between those of a demonstrative and those of a definite article.

It not only follows nouns but can also be postposed to other word classes, such as adverbial constructions: wala, kom sa-la 'voilà, like this' (Ehrhart 1993: 123).
