Datapoint Afrikaans/Present reference of stative verbs and past perfective reference of dynamic verbs

The first interpretation of the zero marked stative verb is present and the first interpretation of the zero marked dynamic verb is past. However, note the extensive use of the "historic present" in lively dialogues (cf. Donaldson 1993: 228–230).
