Datapoint Ghanaian Pidgin English/Ability verb and epistemic possibility

Epistemic possibility can be expressed by the ability marker fit, but only if it occurs in conjunction with the future/irrealis marker gò. It is doubtful, therefore, that the ability marker itself triggers an epistemic possibility meaning, which rather seems to be imparted by the future/irrealis marker.
