This variant (explicit DEF marker + PL marker) is not the most widespread. It is only used in marginal areas of Haiti, especially the south (see Atlas linguistique d’Haïti (Fattier 1998), comments 1971, 1972, 1979), and it was still in use when the ALH research was done. It is probably the oldest variant.
